Documentary Films

Each film is a journey into the heart of a story that matters.

The Last Weavers

2024 52 Minutes Documentary

"In the narrow alleys of Varanasi, the loom falls silent — but the stories woven into its fabric refuse to fade."

The Last Weavers follows three generations of handloom weavers in one of India's oldest textile communities. As industrialisation and fast fashion erode their livelihood, the film captures the beauty of a craft on the brink of extinction.

Through intimate vignettes and stunning macro photography, the documentary explores themes of cultural identity, economic survival, and the quiet resistance of artisans who refuse to let their heritage disappear.

Beyond the Horizon

2023 68 Minutes Documentary

"When the water rose, they didn't just lose their homes — they lost the map of who they were."

Beyond the Horizon tracks the lives of three climate refugees across two continents. Displaced by rising sea levels, floods, and drought, these individuals embark on journeys of survival, adaptation, and unexpected resilience.

Shot over 18 months across Bangladesh, Kenya, and the Pacific Islands, the film puts a human face on the climate crisis and asks urgent questions about justice, belonging, and the future of displacement.

Echoes of Partition

2022 45 Minutes Documentary

"Borders were drawn on maps, but the wounds were drawn on people."

Echoes of Partition gathers the testimonies of survivors of the 1947 India-Pakistan partition — many sharing their stories on camera for the first time. Now in their 80s and 90s, these men and women recount the violence, loss, and unlikely kindness that marked the largest mass migration in human history.

The film weaves archival footage, personal photographs, and present-day interviews into a deeply moving portrait of memory, identity, and the enduring human desire for peace.

Sacred Rivers

2021 58 Minutes Documentary

"A river is never just water. It is memory, myth, and the pulse of a civilisation."

Sacred Rivers is a visual meditation on three of India's most revered waterways — the Ganges, Yamuna, and Narmada. Through the eyes of priests, fishermen, environmentalists, and pilgrims, the film explores the spiritual, ecological, and political dimensions of India's relationship with its rivers.

Combining breathtaking aerial cinematography with intimate ground-level storytelling, the documentary reveals how faith and ecology are intertwined — and what happens when sacred ecosystems face modern threats.
